Bar POS with tabs on the table's check
KalasOS runs a bar from the browser. A tab is the table's open check: every round adds to it, drinks go to the bar screen, and the check is billed when the table is ready to pay. Named tabs without a table are not supported.

What bars need from a POS

What you need
Kiosk, waiter, cashier and kitchen screens all need a connection. Keep a mobile hotspot as backup.

Questions
Can I run tabs?
A tab in KalasOS is the table's open check. Every round adds to it until you bill it. Tabs by customer name without a table are not supported.
Can a group split the bill?
Yes, with split billing on for the location. Move items onto separate checks and bill each one by cash, QR or both.
Can guests pay by card?
Card terminals are not supported. Staff record cash or QR payments, or a split of both.
How are cancelled drinks tracked?
An item can only be cancelled with a reason. KalasOS records who cancelled it and when, and writes it to the audit log.
